There is a definite dichotomy between a "search" dog and a "forensic cadaver"
dog. Len Paquette is a recognized "expert" in the training of scent dogs
from tracking, trailing, air scenting, narcotics, explosive detection and
accelerant dogs. The Forensic Cadaver Dog is not taught to find live
victims. A specialized approach is comprehensively conducted at strick supervision
at Canine Cadre.
Fifty sessions are usually the
minimum for the Forensic Cadaver Dog
Some clients are able to achieve titles at all levels sooner than other
clients. Some dogs need more training/shaping and some dogs and clients need
less time. We start with blocks of training in consideration of the
average time of completion.
